Since February 2007, the Finnish Competition Authority has been investigating the exchange of information in the Finnish grocery trade market. The Finnish Competition Authority has today decided to remove the matter from its agenda.
The Finnish Competition Authority does not impose penalties, because Kesko Food, among others, withdrew from using the Scantrack information at the beginning of 2007 already, and the issue was brought to the attention of the Finnish Competition Authority in connection with Kesko Food contacting them.
The Finnish Competition Authority found the exchange of information to be partly prohibited. Kesko Food sees that it has acted in all respects in compliance with the regulations in the exchange of information.
Kesko Corporation published a stock exchange release on the matter on 20 February 2007.
