Kesko to dispose of its shareholding in SATO

Kesko Corporation and Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company have made an agreement about selling the SATO Corporation shares held by Kesko to Varma. Kesko's ownership interest in SATO is approximately 16.5%. As a result of negotiations, the price of the shares is about €46 million and Kesko is expected to gain about €37 million on the disposal. After the transaction is closed, the gain will be recognised for the first quarter of 2007. The transaction is to be confirmed by signing the final agreements.
