Kesko initiates two major car dealership construction projects: a completely revamped K-Auto Helsinki showroom in Herttoniemi and a state-of-the-art large-scale damage repair unit in Vantaa

The largest K-Auto showroom complex in Helsinki's Herttoniemi will be completely renovated. Meanwhile, a brand new modern large-scale damage repair unit will be constructed in Vantaa. Both projects aim to provide K-Auto customers with an even higher quality service experience, while also improving the working environment for employees.

A revamped K-Auto Helsinki – pinnacle of a multichannel car dealership experience

The new K-Auto Helsinki showroom, to be completed in Herttoniemi by the summer of 2026, will offer a multifaceted and modern car dealership experience, bringing together several top brands under one roof. The new building will house Volkswagen, CUPRA, and Porsche showrooms, while the adjacent building will feature a revamped Audi showroom. Additionally, the current Volkswagen showroom at the site will be modernised into a large dealership for used cars.

As part of the revamp, K-Auto Helsinki's service facilities will also undergo significant updates, and a new Porsche service centre, the largest in Finland, will be opened alongside the new Porsche showroom. The current Porsche sales and service centre in Viikki, Helsinki, is set to be closed when the new Porsche showroom and service centre in Herttoniemi open.

A state-of-the-art large-scale damage repair unit in Vantaa – a pioneer in damage repair

The new large-scale damage repair unit in Vantaa will elevate K-Auto's damage repair operations to a new level. The unit, to be completed in autumn 2025, will feature state-of-the-art work and customer facilities in a two-story building, with covered parking for up to 140 cars. Located near the K-Auto Airport showroom complex on Kiitoradantie in Vantaa, the new unit will offer excellent accessibility and synergies with K-Auto's car sales and service operations.

Continuous transformation in car trade

K-Auto seeks to achieve market-leading growth across all areas of its car trade business. The construction projects in Helsinki and Vantaa will strengthen K-Auto's nationwide network of outlets. These projects exemplify K-Auto's strategic goal of building a nationwide multichannel service network for Finnish motorists.

"We are heavily investing in a multichannel operating model that combines the customer experience in sales, service, and damage repair, both digitally and in physical locations. Car trade overall is undergoing a major transformation, and with these investments, we can enhance the customer experience at our largest outlet, K-Auto Helsinki, and grow further in the damage repair business. We strongly believe in the importance of our retail network in the future," says Johanna Ali, President of Kesko’s car trade division.

Focus on energy efficiency, customer experience, and working environment

The design of both properties emphasises energy efficiency, and the customer facilities are planned according to the latest international showroom concepts of the car brands sold by K-Auto. The large-scale damage repair unit will be built to meet the criteria of the most widely used BREEAM environmental certification system in Europe.
