K-Auto completes the acquisition of Autotalo Lohja – ”Our network continues to grow at a strong clip”

In May, Kesko announced it would be acquiring the business operations of Autotalo Lohja Oy, a local Volkswagen, SEAT and CUPRA dealer operating in Lohja and Tammisaari in Southern Finland. The acquisition has now been completed, and the new operations are part of K-Auto’s car sales and servicing network as of 1 September 2024.

K-Auto’s car dealership network now covers most of Finland, while its EV charging network K-Lataus offers an even more extensive geographical coverage across the country.

The acquisition of Autotalo Lohja is in line with K-Auto’s long-term strategy, where the objective is to become the most interesting sector company in Finland. The nationwide car sales and servicing network plays a key role in this.

”We are not stopping here: in line with our strategy, we plan to continue our strong growth also going forward,” says Johanna Ali, President of Kesko’s car trade division.

K-Auto has recently opened new locations also in Jyväskylä, Lempäälä, Turku, Oulu and Pori. In addition to traditional car dealerships, K-Auto continues to develop its online sales and service business.

”K-Auto covers the whole value chain from new car sales to servicing and damage repair. We want to serve our customers where it best suits them, regardless of time and place,” says Ali.

Established in 2011, Autotalo Lohja Oy recorded net sales of €43.3 million in 2023. The Lohja dealership comprises Volkswagen, SEAT and CUPRA sales, used car sales, and maintenance and body repair operations for Volkswagen, SEAT, CUPRA and Audi.

The Tammisaari location offers Volkswagen sales and used car sales, and maintenance for Volkswagen, SEAT, CUPRA and Skoda.

”As a well-managed, previously family-owned company, Autotalo Lohja is a great addition to our dealership network. They have skilled professionals and a strong local customer base in Lohja and Tammisaari. I believe that together we can achieve great things despite the challenging market environment,” says Johanna Ali.
