Keswell Ltd sells all shares of Academica Oy

Kesko Corporation's subsidiary Keswell Ltd has sold all shares of Academica Oy to the development companyBlue White IT Oy under the agreement signed today.

Academica Oy, a subsidiary of Keswell Ltd, has long experience in various areas of information technology, ranging from individual hardware implementations to supplying comprehensive data communications systems. Academica's key customers include small and medium-sized firms and organisations of public administration. Academica Oy's net sales for the financial period of 2005 were €10.2 million.

Academica Oy's new owners want to continue developing the company in all of its business areas. All Academica Oy's employees are transferred to the new employer under their previous conditions.

The deal becomes effective on 6 October 2006. It will have no essential effect on Kesko's profit for the current financial period.
