Kesko has agreed to acquire the business operations of Autotalo Lohja Oy, a Volkswagen, Seat and Cupra dealer operating in Lohja and Tammisaari in Southern Finland. The acquisition is part of K-Auto’s long-term strategy to become the most interesting automotive company in Finland.
”K-Auto’s transformation journey in recent years has been very successful, even though the market environment has not been easy. Today, all K-Auto business areas are profitable, and we managed our best-ever operating result last year,” says Johanna Ali, acting President of Kesko’s car trade division.
Established in 2011, Autotalo Lohja Oy recorded net sales of €43.3 million in 2023. The Lohja dealership comprises Volkswagen, Seat and Cupra sales, used car sales, and maintenance and body repair operations for Volkswagen, Seat, Cupra and Audi. The Tammisaari location offers Volkswagen sales and used car sales, and maintenance for Volkswagen, Seat, Cupra and Skoda.
”Autotalo Lohja is a well-managed family-owned company and an excellent addition to our dealership network. They have skilled professionals and a strong customer base in Lohja and Tammisaari. Following the acquisition, our network of K-Auto stores will extend across the country from Tammisaari to Oulu,” says Ali.
The completion of the acquisition is subject to approval by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. The deal is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024 at the latest.
