During construction:
- We will take the natural values of the surrounding environment into consideration in the planning, zoning and implementation of construction.
- We will take biodiversity into consideration in the implementation of the project, which means that it will not cause biodiversity loss. An ecologist has been appointed for the project. The ecologist will take an inventory of the plot’s natural values and prepare a proposal of offsetting impacts.
- To ensure controlled drainage of storm water, a storm water system will be built for the construction plot at the beginning of the construction work.
- The project will have an environmental classification. Our aim is the BREEAM environmental rating of Very Good.
- In the EU taxonomy we will focus on climate change mitigation. In relation to this a climate risk assessment, among other things, will be carried out in preparation for future weather events. Overall, in the building’s total energy consumption, we aim to achieve an outcome that significantly exceeds the level required by legislation.
- Geothermal heating will be the building’s main form of heating.
- We will strive to use the most low-carbon construction materials as possible in construction, based on the market situation.
- We will ensure a smooth and safe traffic flow around the logistics centre.
- We will ensure that information about the project is provided comprehensively. We will offer the opportunity to provide feedback and receive answers to questions.
When the logistics centre is ready, our aim is that:
- The impacts on the area’s biodiversity during construction will be offset.
- The building’s energy efficiency rating will be A.
- A significant share of the logistics centre’s energy will be produced with zero emissions, using renewable energy sources.
- The building’s carbon footprint for its entire life cycle will be calculated.
- The logistics centre will be awarded the BREEAM environmental rating of Very Good.
