KESKO TO SELL REAL ESTATE TO NORDISK RENTING

Kesko Corporation, its subsidiary Hämeenkylän Kauppa Oy and the Kesko Pension Fund have sold seven retail properties, mainly used by Citymarket Oy and Anttila Oy, to Nordisk Renting Oy. The properties are located in Järvenpää, Joensuu, Kokkola, Kemi, Lohja, Lahti and Forssa.

The total area of the premises sold is 90,000 m². The value of the deal is FIM 400 million (about EUR 67 million), and Kesko’s gains from the sale amount to FIM 64 million (about EUR 10.8 million). The parties have also agreed upon investments in the renovation and extension of the store premises concerned.

Kesko will rent back these retail store premises from Nordisk Renting, and will provide them to the use of K-retailers and other tenants.
