Sponsorship partners

Kesko primarily participates in sponsorship initiatives that benefit the everyday lives of families with children, promote the quality of living and sustainable development.

Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day has been held in Finland every year since 2007. The Red Nose Day campaign is organised by the Nose Day Foundation, which involves nine organisations in its activities: UNICEF Finland, the Finnish Red Cross, Finn Church Aid, Fida International, Save the Children Finland, Plan International Finland, the International Solidarity Foundation, the Trade Union Solidarity Centre of Finland (SASK) and the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission.

The funds raised by Red Nose Day are used to support long-term development projects that improve opportunities for children in the very worst conditions to access education, health, security and nourishment.

In 2016, the K-Group stores raised a total of 217,000 euros for the Red Nose Day campaign, and the funds raised in the four years of cooperation exceeded the one million euro milestone. In terms of scope, the cooperation between the K-Group and Red Nose Day is the most extensive in the Finnish charity field.

Christmas Kettle collection

Kesko and K-stores are the national partner of the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle collection. The Salvation Army distributes Kesko's vouchers for recipients, who can use them to buy products at K-Group stores.

Good Christmas Spirit

Kesko participates in the Good Christmas Spirit collection organised annually by the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and the Finnish Red Cross to help poor families with children in difficult circumstances in Finland. K-food store vouchers distributed to such families before Christmas add to their Christmas spirit.
