Kestra Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy will not participate in future financing of Fennovoima project

Kestra Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy, a subsidiary of Kesko Corporation, will not participate in the future financing of Fennovoima Ltd's Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power project due to the related financial, contractual and schedule uncertainties.

Kestra Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy has given conditional notifications to Voimaosakeyhtiö SF on 7 November 2013 and 21 February 2014 that Kestra Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy could invest in the future financing of the nuclear power project provided that Kestra Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy and Voimaosakeyhtiö SF reach an agreement on the conditions of the participation.

Kestra Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy estimates that the financial, contractual and schedule prerequisites for the project still contain uncertainties, and it estimates that their risks have increased. Therefore, Kestra Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy considers the prerequisites for participating in the financing of the nuclear power plant insufficient.

Kestra Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy currently owns 4.5% of the share capital of Voimaosakeyhtiö SF.
